Downtown Grand Rapids transforms into a winter wonderland starting January 9,2026 till March 1, 2026 at the 9th annual World of Winter Festival!
As always, there will be various FREE winter-themed programming and events, including (but not limited to) art installations, live performances, family-friendly games, guided walking tours and more.
The World of Winter Festival, organized by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. (DGRI) and partners, is designed to take advantage of Michigan’s cold climate, provide fun ways for people to get outside and enjoy the season, and make Grand Rapids a better winter city - which makes Grand Rapids a better year-round city. The Annual Robert Kozminski Memorial Basketball Game will be held on February 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Kenowa Hills High School!
The proceeds from this year's memorial game will benefit Tierney LaSotta, the daughter of KCSO Deputy Jon LaSotta, who was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, also known as Childhood Dementia.

Kenowa Hills High School's basketball teams will play against Kent City High School's teams during the day, leading up to the main events in the evening.
